The only thing getting me through the emotional torment of my little guy starting school for the first time is retail therapy in the form of back-to-school shopping. I know every parent goes through this, but I can’t stop the tears when I think about him needing me just a little less every year. It better get easier to be apart, otherwise I envision a future where he is a grown 35-year-old man still living in my basement. But since he’s only 4, I’m going to try and just focus on his immediate future. And his immediate future calls for the perfect backpack for a preschooler.
While researching backpacks, I needed something that was large enough to fit his school papers and projects, but small enough where he could feel confident wearing it and opening/closing it without asking for help. I also want him to bring his backpack on our future travels (crossing fingers it won’t just become one more thing I’ll have to carry for him!).
There are tons of smaller backpacks out there, but these are the ones that stood out that’d be perfect for a preschooler. Do any of you have little ones headed to school for the first time?
